From Terry Span (25.08.2006):
Aleister Wild was formed in 1990. In Canton Ohio U.S.A. by lead guitarist, Terry Span. They have gone through several line up changes as most bands do trying to find just the right make-up of musicians. The first line up consisted of: Terry Span - Founding Member/Lead Guitarist, Mike Barr - Rhythm Guitarist/Keyboardist, Tom Dennis/Bass Guitar, Rich Jakubiack/Drums, and Randy Schott/Lead Vocals. This line up only lasted one show! The second line up was Terry Span Founding Member/Lead Guitarist, Roger Berry/Drums, Erik Franks/Bass Guitar, And Ron Williams/Lead Vocals. This line-up recorded the band's FIRST Cd entitled, "AUTUMNS WRATH" released on Cirrus Records! 1996-97. Erik Franks was fired soon after the CD was finished. In fact Erik doesn't even play on the whole CD! He had a problem showing up. So some of the bass tracks were recorded by Terry. Erik was replaced by Rick Scott and this line up went out giged up to Aug. of 1999 to promote the Autumns Wrath CD. However things were cut short when Aleister Wild was prompted by USO to do their first overseas tour. For this drummer Roger Berry, bassist Rick Scott were replaced by drummer Lee Allen Taylor, bassist Dave Rogers. This line up did three more tours for USO overseas. Before the start of the fourth tour This line up started recording Aleister Wild's second CD entitled,"Child"s Play". All the tracks were completed with the exception of the vocal tracks. We were offered the fourth USO tour right as we finished recording all the music for the new CD. So the plan was to do the tour recorded Ron's vocal tracks when we returned from the tour. While on the tour Ron announces that he's leaving the band after the tour. So while we were in Japan I (Terry) called original singer Randy Schott asked if he would be interested in recording the vocal tracks. He said o.k.! The next line up did the 2002 USO tour It consisted of Terry Span, Founding Member/Lead Guitarist, Scott Zellhart/Drums, Bill Smith/Rhythm Guitar, Keyboards, Tim Workman/Bass Guitar, And Jan Nemeth/Lead Vocals. 2003 Aleister Wild is offered yet another USO overseas tour. This time the line up consists of Terry Span, Founding Member/Lead Guitarist, Chuck Dobbins/Drums, Mike Bellmont/Bass Guitar, John Lane/Lead Vocals. The most recent Line up just completed Aleister Wild's seventh USO overseas tour. Which saw the return of Lead Vocalist Ron Williams, Terry Span, Founding Member/Lead Guitarist, Kirk Mizer/Drums, Gary Alexander/Bass Guitar, Jeff Teis/Rhythm Guitar. A new line up is soon to be announced. Terry is currently auditioning new members for the recording of Aleister Wild's third CD.
