Additional information
from Louis Rodrigues / Sound Riot Records Gaia Epicus Biography (22.03.2005):
(1992) - Thomas Hansen formed the band. They played punk rock and the lyrics were in Norwegian. Three months later, the first Demo was made.
(1993) - Musical style and band name were changed to Thrash Metal, and the name Execution. They recorded a demo called "Sacrifice".
(1994) - Again the music changed into the Hard Rock, and a new demo was made called "The bullet for me?"
(1995) - Joakim Kjelstad joined the band, and the music changed to Melodic Metal finally.
(1996) - The band changed name to Millennium.
(1998) - The band had to change name because there was another band called Millennium.
(1999) - The "Land of Mysteries" Demo was made April/May. The new name for the band was Theater of Pain. So, they played a gig for the Kings of Metal!!! The band went to Umeå in Sweden to play for Dio, Manowar & Motorhead at a private party.
(2000) - They changed of band name to Eternal Flame.
(2001) - Officially the band started to be named GAIA EPICUS. The promo-CD "Cyber Future" comes out in August.
(2002) - Eirik Øverland Dischler joined the band as keyboards-player. The "Keepers of Time" Demo was released in August. In September, GAIA EPICUS signs a record deal with Sound Riot Records. During November/December GAIA EPICUS entered at Godt Selskap Studios for the recording of the full-length album. Eirik Øverland Dischler fades out of the band in early 2003.
(2003) - JP Fournier finished the Artwork in January 20th. The mastering is done at Finnvoxx Studios in February. Unfortunately the files with the artwork and booklet design were lost due to a HD-crash in March, yet everything was re-done in April. "Satrap" out in May 23rd in Europe. The band gets many gigs on the summer in Norway.
(2004) - The band gets a new and full line-up. The new songs for the 2nd album get ready so, they recorded the album at Top Room Studios in September. The album title is "Symphony of Glory" and it features 10 new songs.
(2005) - The album is mastered at Bazement studios and the artwork for the cover done by Michael A. Mueller get finished.
