Don't think it's all that we'd like to present you. Our database fills up and changes without a stop, we put information as FaST as possible. At first we put everything for our completely supported bands, then we put information about our albums' collections without tracks, lyrics, lineup, etc., then we put information from our Speed'n'Power Melodic Metal List, then we put information about side-cross-guest projects of completely supported bands' members and then we'll put lineup, lyrics, tracks, etc. for Speed/Power Melodic Metal list bands (current condition) and then at last everything else.

Additional informationfrom Marcelo Francis (M.Francis Productions) (23-02-2005):
With a new formation, the Brazilian classic Heavy Metal band, "Tropa de Shock", has just released its new CD - "Survivors" with the label Megahard. The group's maturity and modernization are quite noticeable in this new CD, resulting in a much faster grip, with more elaborated guitar work and a vocal line witch blends mid and high frequency pitches.
Another innovation in this new CD is its artistic proposal, pulling apart from a more conceptual line of work, thus choosing from lyrics with a more variety of approaches, like the awareness with the environment and the "Survivors" of every kind. We wanted to experiment new things and we owe this to Conrad Ruther, our new German producer. It also features the special presentation of Rafael Bittencourt, (Angra's guitarist), in the solo Love of Angels. "Rafael has an impressive technique and it was great to add this to our work." says Don, (vocalist).
It's important to emphasize Angra's guitarist special presentation, in the solo "Love of Angels".
For those who don't know the band's history, Tropa de Shock started to excel in the early 1989's, been pointed by the critics as the band of the 90's, with the album "Fragmentos - Fragments". It was in 1992 however, that the band found its place within the International Market, earning the admiration of a faithful public in cities like Sidney, Melbourne and Adelaide, in Australia, with the hits "Angels of Eternity" and "Hard Storm". Now more mature and showing a more suitable style for the Classic Heavy Metal, Tropa de Shock launches, in 1997, its second album, (first CD), "Angels of Eternity".
From there on, the CDs "The Blade of the Wind", "Looking for the Truth", "The Other Side", "Garland # 2 from Hellion Records", "Planet Metal - Garland #2", "The Barbarian - Demo CD" and finally the new CD "Survivors", have consolidated the band.
With their impious musical style, and lyrics touching from historical and mythological to current themes, idealizing a better world, the group has been captivating fans all over the world.
By the end of the 90's, Tropa de Shock went on tour twice over Europe, (The Netherlands, Germany, Greece, Belgium, England, Italy and France), bringing them dozens of full and double page interviews with top magazines like "Metal Hammer", "Metal Invader", "Mind view Magazine", "Power Zone", "Rock Hard", "Metal Shock", "Flash Magazine", "Seventh Sign", and interview in several radio programs.
Among so many presentations in Brazil, some stand out, like Paul Di'anno's (Iron Maiden ex-vocal), Brazilian Tour and appearances in several "Expomusics", (Latin America's main Music Fair), playing alongside with great musicians like Greg Bissonette (ex-Malmsteen), Primal Fear, DC Cooper, Pink Crean 69, Skywalker, to name a few.
Tropa de Shock lent its name and talent in several occasions for charity events, thus showing that Rock can and should also mean awareness. The project "Rock para a Vida" - "Rock for Life", (Pacaembu - SP and Praia Grande - SP), gathered more than 20,000 people.
Their shows are a real adrenaline rush, full of special effects, which bring back to the public the return of the great concerts of the 80's. Besides, the band show its mascot - "Bad Woman", who represents both sides of humanity: Good & Evil. |
