Hard Rock

It's Rock'n'Rollish music with many repetitions in Motorhead style. This music is just for distraction someone's mind from the modern Metal streams which captivated world music as it is.

Melodic Power Heavy Progressive Metal

It's unexpectedly fast music from the band sheltered by irrepressible David Chastain. The guitars are similar to Friedman of Megadeth era. In general it's very good release especially because of just wonderful guitar works and melodic arrangements.

GoiMusic
ID: GOI 2003 16

Melodic Speed Power Metal

It's a mixture of everything except originality. You may find here Rhapsody, Gamma Ray/Iron Savior, Judas Priest/Primal Fear, Manowar - these bands are very good, but it's not interesting to listen to their pale copy.

ValianceWayfaring

2002

Black Lotus Records
ID: MHR 086

Power Metal

This music isn't typical for Italy, it's close to Blind Guardian with some Prog and some Melodic elements. About sound: I don't undertake to rise this band over others, but this music can like not only for few persons.

ValkijaAvengers of Steel

2004

Sonic Age Records
ID: SARECD 001

Heavy Power Metal

Do you miss early Oliva's high-pitched screams? You have a chance to listen to them again on this album! No, there isn't real Oliva on this release but the female vocals (which sound like the male vocals) sometimes are very similar. In general this music can be described as Savatage (because of the vocals) and Metal Church with some powerful elements typical for the bands from 80s.

ValkyriaValkyria

1993

Death City Records

experimental Thrash Progressive Metal

Yes, everything knows about experiments in Progressive Metal, it's no miracle to listen to Thrash/Prog, but Progressive experiments in Thrash is something new. The music is fast and slow, let it be Kreator as Thrash example, I don't say examples for experimental Prog, but I note that some tracks with the keys remind me of Bal-Sagoth.

Valley's EveDeception of Pain

2002

Limb Music Products
ID: LMP 0302-039 CD

Heavy Progressive Metal

Is it Limb again? Oh, this album corresponds to it. This one is close to Iced Earth (in Heavy format), or it's a mixture of Sinner, Accept, Elegy, etc. I found there many repetitions of the riffs and music of other bands...

Valley's EveThe Atmosphere of Silence

1999

B.Mind Records
ID: 27003

Melodic Progressive Power Heavy Metal

These songs just pour on you, I haven't heard such excellent Melodic Prog long ago! It's enough to listen to just the vocals and the guitar solos there!

Progressive Metal

This album unites not only different Progressive musical streams but melodic music also, it's not often event for true Progressive bands. This album is close to Dream Theater of 90s - not very heavy melodic Progressive.

Vanishing PointIn Thought

1997

ID: SKAN 8216.AR

Heavy Progressive Power Metal

We can meet a talent band not very often but when it happens... Vanishing Point indeed is a very good band that's able to unite Melodic, Heavy and Progressive in very interesting and original music.

Vanishing PointEmbrace the Silence

2005

Dockyard 1

Melodic Heavy Power Progressive Metal

Who else tries to support of Australian music prosperity? AC/DC only? No, Vanishing Point's still alive and plays European music, melodic music, powerful music - in other words, it's still that interesting music which nominated this band on the high level of the world fame.

Vanishing PointThe Fourth Season

2007

Dockyard 1
ID: DY 100382

Melodic Heavy Power Metal

It's very good that the band didn't change anything in the music and still play Melodic Heavy with Power and Progressive elements. Keep it up!

Heavy Metal

Dirkschneiders' family hasn't got a quietness. It's absolutely U.D.O./Accept-like music (and vocal, of course) but music is more powerful. Sometimes it's melodic, but usually it's like Primal Fear.

VanizeHighproof

2000

Breaker Records
ID: NB 536-2

Heavy Metal

This Dirkschneider family's guy is Udo completely, he's also with Brian Johnson intonations. The music is total Accept and U.D.O. I think this band hasn't anything that is possible to discuss.

VanizeRaw

2006

Dee Productions
ID: myst cd 020

Heavy Metal

It's still a mixture of Accept and Judas Priest. This band did nothing to be original, they just follow the way of their big brother with an addition of Judas Priest sound.

Various ArtistsA Tribute to Led Zeppelin

2002

Locomotive Music

Power Metal

It's very delicious tribute (but what do you want - it's Led Zeppelin...). Unlike Nuclear Blast tributes almost all tracks of this one were recorded specially for this tribute. I can select outstanding Ian Parry vocals (Elegy) on 'Rock And Roll' and superb (in my opinion the best track of the tribute) - No Quarter by Grave Digger.
