Artist: TestimonyAlbum: Transcending RealityReleased: 2012A mixture of styles and genres: Thrash Metal Review:What is a contemporary Thrash in our life? Whatever it is, Testimony is not
at all that humming-*core-dull-modern Thrash that by fact has vaguely
related to Thrash Metal in understanding of true admirers of this style.
Testimony is a new band that plays Thrash of the eighties, incorporating
all useful developments of the recent years.
Yes, speaking about the music - it is the Thrash of the eighties; with
vocals it resembles Kreator in those years. But it's not the most
important. Essential is that Testimony is the US Thrash band, and the US
Thrash tradition is the complexity of music, the arts of playing guitar,
and even fascinating melodic parts. So in this music we have a union of
the European Thrash of the eighties and of the best traditions of the US
true Thrash.
Testimony has pretty many instrumentals, and in the other tracks the
attention is taken to instrumental parts that raises the level of the band
to the community of true musicians, each of them individually can become a
leader of the band, not be just a background.
To sum it up, the music of Testimony, represented on the current EP, is a
remarkable occasion in our life, worth development, for not every day (not
every year!) a new band pleases us with an interesting work.
