Artist: OssianAlbum: IteltnapReleased: 1991A mixture of styles and genres: Speed Heavy Power Metal Review:This is what I call a real "all killer - no filler" album. Indeed, Iteletnap does not contain a single song, which could be called mediocre or plain boring. Speed-and-heavy frenzy starts straight from the title track, which is the fastest and the most aggressive song on the album, followed by the slower, but no less heavy and catchy A Szerelem Gyilkosa, and then goes Motor Mania, a true speedy highlight of the album, listening to which you are easily imagining yourself a lone night rider... The album also features one melancholically beautiful ballad called Lonely Angel.
The band plays pure Speed-n-Heavy Metal, the music is moderately fast, moderately aggressive and moderately melodic. The thing that I love about the album most is that the music remains original and unique, while the musicians stick to the ordinary cliches of the style - heavy riffs, harsh voice, no keyboards. With originality I mean diversity of the songs and that unexplainable freshness and unconventionality, which is felt throughout the album and cannot be expressed in words, you have to listen to it to be able to feel it. You will remember and recognize every song after the very first hearing, especially rather fast Rocker Vagyok and mid-paced He, Rock'n'Roll, which can be fairly called a hymn in honor of rebellious music.
Iteletnap is a true Heavy Metal classic and it represents classical metal without any admixtures. Strongly recommended.
