back to reviews

Artist: Aspire

Album: Quest Eternal

Released: 2005

A mixture of styles and genres: Melodic Speed Power Metal

Review:

Let us make an acquaintance with a new band. Every track on this CD contains pleasant moments.

  1. The first track begins majestically a-la "Rhapsody", then guitars enter, tempo becomes faster, vocals appear. In general its typical Italian Speed and Power. There are guitar and keyboard solos.
  2. The second song starts from keyboard sound. Its tempo is measured. There are fast guitar solo and keyboard solo on the song.
  3. At first we heard cries of sea gulls then - sound of guitars. Rhythm is fast, musical mood is a bit anxious. There are keyboards and stately vocals, then voice against an acoustic background, then again fast guitar and keyboard solos. Then tempo becomes slower and unhurried guitar solo arises, then tempo grows faster.
  4. This track starts in a quick way. Then kingly vocals turn up. There are good guitar solos closer to the end of the song.
  5. This is a splendid sad song with transparent sound.
  6. At first we hear noble keyboard introduction, then music becomes faster. Vocals are pompous.
  7. This is a mid-tempo song. It starts from good guitar riffs. In the middle of the song you can hear a beautiful and limpid keyboard solo, then a splendid guitar solo appears, then song grows faster and speedy guitar solo sounds.
  8. It starts from thoughtful vocals and pensive keyboards, then the song continue sounding in a reflective way. Closer to the end of this track beautiful guitar solos may be heard.

To sum it up we may say that if you are a true judge of modern Speed and Power Metal youll find here some good musical moments and godsends. And the band has a good chance to create something special in musical world.
